Why does the US prison population have an over-representitive number of Judeo-Christian Americans?

Generally God will come into a person when he is at his lowest. That is when an individual seeks to fill the void in his heart because he senses that something is missing and does not understand why or what. It is sin that separated us from God and we need God to fill that void within our hearts. Jesus is the only one that can fill it.
