2 1/2 month old cries & cries if not being held or nursing, going a little crazy?

yeah i know how you feel, my son is now 5 months old but since he was born all he has ever wanted was to be held or to be eating and he takes short naps but only in my arms and if i put him down he will wake and not go back to sleep sometimes i get lucky and he stays asleep but only for like a half hour or less and its so hard sometimes to get all the chores and cooking done.
